Atypic 2.0

Our second sailboat, the Atypic 2.0, is a Fountaine Pajot Lavezzi 40, built in 2005 in La Rochelle, France. We bought her in Panama, which means she has already completed one Atlantic crossing and one round-trip Pacific crossing, totaling three ocean crossings under her belt. The Atypic 2.0 is a sloop measuring 39.10 feet (11.92 m) long by 21.40 feet (6.52 m) wide, with a draft of 3.60 feet (1.10 m). ). Only 227 Lavezzi models were built between 2002 and 2009, and when we purchased it, this one also had a very conventional appearance.

This time, Jessie Armand designed the vinyl remotely, and we had it printed in Panama City. We then installed it ourselves when taking the boat out of the water. This process allowed us to merge Jessie's artistic vision with our desire to be different and outside the norm, resulting in a unique and personalized finishing touch.

His three successful ocean crossings led us to believe that he was perfectly equipped to take on new oceans. However, we quickly learned that a sailboat that has completed such crossings is not necessarily the best boat to buy, but rather a boat that will need some love. To make this ambitious project of crossing the Pacific a reality, we are aware that we will first have to put our hands to work to improve its systems and increase its autonomy in order to face the most demanding challenges of an ocean crossing. We look forward to this challenge, because we firmly believe that with our efforts and determination, our traveling companion will once again be ready to face the vast expanses of ocean, allowing us to continue our adventure
